At Windsong Condominiums, General Manager Beth Ballaseux is always looking for ways to improve how the community runs. Annual meetings are a key part of that work, but getting owners engaged has never been easy.

To improve participation, Windsong introduced electronic voting for board elections and community votes. Their annual meeting was also hosted virtually, giving every owner the chance to take part no matter where they were.

That’s why the results stood out so much.

“Although our community has a low quorum threshold, we were still pleasantly surprised to see nearly 50% of owners voting — the highest we’ve ever seen,” Beth says.

Making participation easier for everyone

Beth’s priority is making sure every owner has a chance to be involved, including those living off-site. With e-voting and a virtual meeting, participation looked very different. Owners could cast their votes online ahead of time or join virtually on meeting day.

“The platform was easy for everyone to use, and it transformed engagement in our community,” Beth explains.

A smoother meeting experience

When it came time for the annual meeting, Beth and her board had the tools and training they needed to feel confident.

“We never thought a virtual annual meeting could run this smoothly,” she says. “It provided a convenient way for our off-site owners to participate while the team trained our board and offered incredible support on the day.”

Raising the bar for the community

For Beth, every improvement makes a difference in how Windsong Condominiums runs. Higher participation means more engaged owners, smoother meetings, and stronger decisions for the community’s future.
